Merry Christmas in white

Hello everyone !

Today I will share my struggle to have white text on red paper with an acrylic stamp. I got several white ink, but none of them give me the result I wanted. See for yourself :

Usually, the Stazon opaque is great for dark color, but the better result with this ink is on transparency or acrylic sheet.
I only used the Colorbox when I wanted a blurry effect on edges.
Just forget about the Versacraft. I bought this one like 10 years ago when I was in France and there was nothing else.
I choose the Tsukinako Brilliance white, but I used also the white gelly roll 08 by Sakura (I write the text on the right with it) to trace over the stamp :

Much better.
You can see on the right some KI white frosty lace cardstock, and the red paper is from a Christmas Recollections sheet. I used the lace paper as a template to re-create the design on the envelope with a red glitter gel pen, then fill it with a Copic marker. If you want to color an envelope, don't forget to place a piece of paper inside the envelope before coloring. It will prevent stains on the back of the envelope.

Hope you will continue to play for the giveaway. You can see the previous cards and a reminder of the rules on the page "30 cards before Christmas" (top of this page).

Have a wonderful day !

  2. Very pretty! I wonder if a fine embossing powder would work?

  3. Yes, Madeline, it will work, but I don't have a converter yet to plug my embosser.

  4. I struggle with this too, so I emboss! Nice to see there's another option though.

  5. White ink can be so hard - too bad you weren't able to use your embosser - going over the stamp with a gel pen sounds like a very time consuming process. It is beautiful though!

  6. Lovely cards. I like the white with the Faber Castell big brush stamp pens... Works well on Kraft. I will have to try on red now ;)
