The last of my 30 tags before Christmas a winter scene with DCWV

I know you are pretty busy today, so thank you for stopping by. My last tag is also one of my favorite :

I gathered different DCWV collection to create this tag : Christmas cardstock stack for the red and the gray glittery ones, Storybook Christmas glitter cardstock, and another winter stack for the sentiment.
The pretty tree are wood veneers by Studio Calico, covered with green glitter glue.

This is my last post about tags for this year. I hope I gave you ideas or inspiration for your own tags.
Don't forget to follow and comment before tomorrow, I will close the entry tonight.

I wish you a great Christmas Eve !

Fabric and star tag

I did have since few year a beautiful large Christmas ribbon transparent white with silver flourishes. It was large enough to cut a tag out of it !

Using fabric glue, I did adhere two tag by 3 edges, filled the inside with metallic red star confettis and close the tag with the same glue. I punch JOY out of red glitter cardstock (DCWV) and just add a little ribbon loop at the top. Simple and beautiful !

Tomorrow will be the last tag, and I think it's my favorite, so I know it will be Christmas Eve, but please to stop by just to take a look !

See you tomorrow I hope !

Ornament tag

Once again I will show my love of fussy cutting. If I wasn't in the middle of modeling my scraproom, I would have my Cricut on hand to make this one... But this machine is still in the box for the moment, so I'm stuck with my cutter...
I used an old Recollections Christmas pad with a Spellbinders ornament stamp :

I started by cutting 3 same size tags, and by stamping the ornament onto the first paper. I stamped on the brown paper at the exact same spot than the previous paper and cut it with a small border. I did repeat the cut on the third paper with a larger border. I use foam adhesive to adhere each layer.
A small bow and ribbon on the top and bottom edge and we have a new tag !

You still have few days to follow and comment before I randomly choose a winner...
See you tomorrow !

Round Christmas tag

Hello everyone !

I made a round tag for a change, with the Colorbok kit I previously used for the mini album tag.

The first burgundy circle was a punch-out embellishment from the kit, and I cut the other two circles with my Martha Stewart circle cutter. Few white poinsettias and Vintage photo ink (Tim Holtz), and this tag was done.

Four days left to follow and comment to enter my Christmas drawing ! The poll will be open after Christmas to let you vote for your favorite and enter for another prize !

Have a great Sunday !

Fun sparkle tag with kids

Ok. First day of vacations, but our trip is only on Monday... What if I make a tag my kids can reproduce ? So we need something fun, something with sparkle (I have girls), something quick... I got it ! Let's make a bling tag !

I use a gold Christmas card by DCWV to make the tag, and decorate it by cutting a tree into a green adhesive jeweled sheet. The red star came from the rockstar adhesive mirrors and the crystal edge are cut from another adhesive jeweled sheet. All of these sheets are made by DCWV. Some glitter alphas (Making Memories) for the sentiment.

My daughters love it ! I bet your kids will too !

See ya !

Last minute teachers and staff gifts : Chocolate truffle !

Yesterday was crazy ! A gazillion of things to do and it was the last day to prepare gifts for teachers ! So I went with the easiest : food... I cooked dark chocolate truffles on the morning, prepared them on the afternoon, and made boxes to put them in !
I did not make it fancy, but easy, quick and cute ! Take a look at the result, and I will give you (yes, for free, imagine that) my french and delicious recipe...

I made the boxes with the Winter and Christmas boxes stack by DCWV. They are cute, super easy and can be made in a snap ! You can find here a video tutorial to make some. I just add a Maya Road twine to close them and a white poinsettia (I Am Roses) for the festive part.

I just put the truffles into clear wrap before hiding them in the boxes. And now the recipe...
You will need :

- 200g of dark chocolate (7oz)
- 2 big spoon of sour cream (or half a cup of heavy whipping cream)
- 2 egg's yolks
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 40g of powder sugar (1.4oz)
- 2 spoons of water
- optional : whiskey or orange extract or whatever you want
- dark chocolate cocoa powder

Melt the chocolate with water on low temperature until you get a smooth mixture. Beat the yolks with the rest of the ingredients, and add it to the chocolate. Cook on very low temperature for 5 additional minutes. Pour it in a bowl and place it in the fridge for at least one hour.
Using a spoon, take a small amount of the mixture and roll it with your hands into a ball. Roll this ball into the cocoa powder. Place the balls into a plate, and keep them in the fridge for few more hours.
DO NOT EAT ALL THEM IN ONCE !

Have fun while you can during this last day of school...
See you tomorrow !

Winter dahlia tag with DCWV

You probably have already saw the dahlia paper wreath, it's all over pinterest these days... I did, so I decided to create one tiny enough to put on a tag :

The rolled cone are made with squares of papers (Winter in the woods by DCWV), 1" for the aqua paper, 3/4" for the brown one. The snowflake and the sentiment are cut out of a tag from the same collection, and I use one tag as a template to cut mine into aqua paper. I covered the tag with lace and add the final touch with a crystal.

5 to go... Did you made yourself the tag for Christmas gifts ? I hope those I already made give you some inspiration...

See you later !

Believe with sparkle tag

It's with an very non-Christmas color scheme I decided to start my tag. I wanted to use my new Martha Stewart glitter  paint, but the color, fire opal, is not on the traditional color list for Christmas. More a fall one maybe. Never mind, I liked it and I did have the perfect color of poinsettias to go with : turquoise ! But the main element I wanted to use was air dry clay. Could find it in the tag ?

It's the base of the tag ! I embossed the clay (Martha Stewart too) with the Sizzix Alterations Damask folder, then cut it in a tag with one of the Sizzix die (tags#2), and covered it with the glitter paint. As it's a soft clay, even when dried, it did need something behind to straight it, so I matted it with blue glitter paper (Holidays glitzy glitter stack by DCWV).
Fall color leaves (Recollections), lace, blue glitter alphas (Making Memories) and a beautiful blue glitter ribbon (Webster's page) to finish this one-of-a-kind tag...

Have a wonderful day !

Tim Holtz style tag

Tim Holtz beware ! I don't do 12 tags of Christmas. I do 30 before ! And this one is the 22nd !
I so love Tim Holtz work, I decided to work with his paper tapes, distress inks and embossing powder...

I started on white cardstock, cross-layering the tissue tape Tidings. I distressed the edges of the tag with aged mahogany and vintage photo, then stamp the tree (Hero Arts) with a clear embossing pad. I sprinkled Antiquities weathered white embossing powder all over the tag, and tapped the tag to get rid of the excess. I even blown a little bit on the edge, and use my heat gun on the tag.
The distress ink retain just enough powder to create this snowy effect. Love it !
I just add some stroke of white gel pen inside the tree, and fussy cut a stamped sentiment to finish this tag.

What do you think of this one ? Would Tim Holtz like it even a tiny bit ?

I hope you do, and I will see you tomorrow for another tag.
Don't forget, you have one week left to enter my giveaway...

Lace and ribbon

I was inspired by two things for this tag. First inspiration came, don't laugh, while trying to rest on the couch between after-school activities near my teen watching Violetta... I know. Whatever. Violetta was wearing (as almost always) a ruffle skirt. That gave me the ides of layers of ribbons. The second inspiration came from the colors of the Candy Cane Lane collection by DCWV I used few times recently. Et voila :

I made the tag out of black cardstock from this collection, and cover it with layers of white lace and red ribbon. The red is made of two kind glue together : a satin one and a pom pom trim. I let a little space between the white and the red to have a hint of black. I cut the tree and the sentiment out of the tag sheet.

This color combo is very classy. It's the 4th time I used it for my tags, and probably not the last.

Don't forget to comment and follow to enter the drawing ! See you very soon...

Burlap tag

Hello !

I have an unusual tag for you today ! The base is a burlap tag by Canvas Corp Brands, covered with modeling paste mixed with Black Magic and Bahama Blue glimmer mist (stencil Prima Marketing). Lace, pearled twine and K&Company alphas, plus a poinsettia (I Am Roses) covered with Red Barn glimmer mist, and two leaf cut out of a Santa's Journey pad by 7Gypsies.

This made a small but cute and artsy tag.

What did you plan for today ? As I have already made my Christmas shopping in November, I was free today. So we drove last night for a late arrival in our mountains, and will have two days of Winter fun ! We gonna try our new Body Glove Snowsled. We bought them in Aberdeen last year, but no snow during the Winter to play with them... Those things look like fast ones... I will tell you later...

Have a great Christmas shopping if not done already !

Reindeer tag

How is that possible I didn't put a reindeer on my tags yet ? I cut this one out of an old Recollections paper...

Can you guess what I used on the top of the tag ? Gold glass microbeads ! It gives a lot of texture and a beautiful shine to this project.
No sentiment this time, just a K&Company paper ribbon and a golden twine. Beside, reindeer don't talk.

Enjoy your day and see you tomorrow !

A wood tag

I'd finished this one yesterday night. I was caught into creating very late, after putting kids in beds, and I'm very please with the result :

The base of this tag is a wood ATC by Prima Marketing, covered with gesso, distressed with inks by Tim Holtz (burgundy, moss and vintage photo) and stamped with scriptures (Inkadinkado).
Poinsettias, of course, by Prima, as well as the round wood embellishment, embossed with brick embossing powder by Ranger. I used the same powder to emboss the mesh ribbon (yes you can emboss those !) and the air dry clay letters (Martha Stewart, and yes those too...). The red ribbon came from the wrapping of long gone chocolate box...

And now the French lesson: "Noel avec toi" means " Christmas with you". Not the whole family. Just you.

Au revoir et a demain (goodbye, see you tomorrow...) !

Merry and bright Christmas tag with DCWV

Hello everybody !

Another tag with DCWV papers today. I used a Storybook tag with a bird cut from a Christmas letter :

I matted the tag with a red Christmas cardstock, stamped and embossed the same cardstock with Antiquities weathered white powder by Ranger.

That's it. Wednesday is a very busy day for moms in France, only half of a school day and all the kids activities in the afternoon. I will be the taxi mom...

See you tomorrow, and thank you for stopping by !

A mix media tag !

What about using something else than paper today ? Done.

I use a canvas mini tag by Canvas Corp Brands with Red Barn Glimmer mist by Tattered Angels over a Fadded dots stencil (Tim Holtz) as a base.I search in my stash and found some silver mesh ribbon and a cream lace. I sprayed the lace with Leap Frog Glimmer mist and Black Magic Glimmer mist, and the poinsettia (I Am Roses) with the Red Barn one.

The only paper I use was a sheet of the Santa's Journey 6x6 pad by 7Gypsies to cut holly leaves.
A silver chain with a charm (Santa's Journey collection), some silver fiber and a stamped sentiment complete the tag.

I wish you a holly jolly day !

DCWV Matchbook tag

Another week ! We are getting closer to Christmas... I am so not ready... Maybe I should let this tag thing aside and work on my decoration... Nah ! Let's see another one !

I did like a lot the one I made with the minibook inside, so I decided to go with a matchbook on this one :

I use the Candy Cane Lane by DCWV, with a black and white rickrack ribbon. It can be open to reveal additional tag pages :

I fussy cut a tag sheet of the stack to transform them into pages or small embellishments.

I hope you love this tag too. If so, I would love to read your comment about it !

See you tomorrow for another tag and another chance for you to enter my giveaway !

A Christmas list tag

Hello !

I did look into my old stash again to create this new tag with Recollections papers :

Not fancy, just a little distressing with scissors, but cute, and you will not hesitate to put it on a gift.

I wish you a great Sunday !

Let it snow ! Let it snow !... a DCWV tag

Snow is the perfect theme for me today, because we have some falling in the mountains. Not enough to ski but enough for a snowball fight !

I used some DCWV Christmas papers and Christmasand winter cardstock stack for this tag. When I saw the papers with small tags, especially those with let it snow on it, I immediatly tought of Frozen. So I'd just kept to 'let it snow' and added a quote from the Disney song for the bottom jounaling to complete the image of a snowman :

There were snowflakes on the blue paper, but faded, so I stamped (TLC) with a clear embossing pad and embossed with Antiquities white Ranger powder to highlight the 'let it snow' side of my tag...

Have a good day and see you tomorrow...

Tattered Angels Christmas tag

Hello fellows !

I'm pretty happy today because tonight we will be in my beloved moutains for the ski season's opening ! Exception made that the snow will arrive only this afternoon, so I'm not sure we will be able to ski... But it will be fun anyway !
Don't worry, I did prepare tags in advance to show you along the week end. Let's start with my Tattered Angels tag :

I made a tag with white cardstock and a Sizzix die for the top. I painted it with Leaf Baseboard and Leapfrog Glimmer Mist from the Jolly Calendar Kit by Tattered Angels. Then I embossed it with a damask Texture Faded embossing folder by Sizzix and added White High Impact Metallic from the Jolly kit and Tattered Leather Glimmer Mist with a sponge brush.
The paper ribbon (K&Company) and the poinsettia (I Am Roses) were covered with Barn Red Glimmer Mist. The burlap bow was cut out of a Burlap Sheet by Canvas Corp Brands and painted with the White paint from the previous kit.
To finish this tag I add a cut made with the Vintage Noel Bigz die by Sizzix, covered with Tattered Leather and white paint.

Will this one be your favorite for the final drawing after Christmas ? Might be mine...
Don't forget about my giveaway, and see you tomorrow for another tag...

Snowmen tag

Do you remember the cards I made last year with cute Christmas Recollections papers ? When you will see this tag, you will... A lot of fussy cutting (again, I know, that's kind of my thing...), few foam adhesives and a ribbon from Target, et voila !

I use these papers into several cards : this one with a snowman, those two with trees, and another one.

See you very soon !

Candy cane and holly tag

A more classic tag with a hint of vintage today. I used the Christmas letter stack and two tags from the Storybook Christmas tag stack by DCWV :

The central bouquet was fussy cut, as well as the the small hollies and the ribbon with tag. It will make a very classy tag on a cream or burgundy gift bag.

If you have just discovered my blog, take a look at my Christmas giveaway. It easy to participate ...

See you tomorrow for another tag, matching some of my last year's Christmas cards...

Tag gift ?

Today it's still a tag, but one you can give so I will call it tag gift. In fact it's more a mini-album tag :

I found a Christmas Colorbok kit in one of the box of my moving and decide to use it for a tag. And when I saw the tabs, it give me the idea of files inside the tag and it leads me to a mini...
I made a very short video just to show you the inside ...

That will be my last post of the day. Don't forget to comment and follow for a chance to win at my giveaway...

See ya !

Color-Me Scrappy challenge layout #75

Hi there !

Here is the new colorboard for the December CMS challenge :

Here is the layout I made, with the Christmas Creations stack  by DCWV :

The picture is double matted with Christmas and Winter cardstock stack. I made a tag with a Sizzix die with a piece of paper left from the ornament one and green cardstock from the same stack. I fussy cut the ornaments and made some bows with ribbons to look like they are attached to the branch. The ornament adhere to the background paper with foam dots.

Come play with us at CMS, it's always a fun challenge !

7Gypsies Christmas tag

How about changing style ? As much as I enjoy bright colors and clean cut, I also love a vintage and distressed look. So here is my tag for today :

I used the 6x6 Santa's Journey papers pad and Christmas wrap paper tapes by 7Gypsies, vintage photo distress ink by Tim Holtz, and a Kaisercraft stamp with brown Stazon. And once again, fussy cut...
