Girly teen mini scrapbook

Hi scrappy friends !

Are you here for your shot of colors today ? You will have it ! I'm gonna show a mini book I made for my daughter, with a mix of pictures from her first teen's years.  It's colorful, surprising and funny, just like her.

I made the entire album with one kit of papers by K&Company found at "99cts only" (that was a great bargain !) and a mini by Piggy Tales. I bought 2 of their warehouse boxes maybe 2 years ago, and it was filled with minis ! Good bargain too.

Cover :
Chipboard and metal clip by Making Memories, green stickers by ATC, blue letters by Thickers, pink polka dot paper by Making Memories, silver ink by Colorbox, pink ribbon found at Costco.

Page 1 & 2 :
Tag stamp by Martha Stewart, text stamp by G Studio, chipboards by KI Memories, silver gel pen.

Inside page 1 :

Page 3 & 4 :
Chipboards by Making Memories, few beads, round stamp by Autumn Leaves, tag by Colorbok, letter stickers by KI Memories.

Inside page 3 :
the K&Company paper has this great journaling included in the design. I left it blank for my daughter.

Page 5 & 6 :
Chipboards by Making Memories and ATD, stamps by Autumn Leaves, silver ink by Colorbox.

Inside page 5 :
stamp by Autumn Leaves, Ek Success border punch, silver sticker found at Tuesday Morning looong ago, glitter sticker by Provo Craft.

I'm sad because the picture did not reflect the brightness of the papers. Not enough sunlight in Aberdeen...
I hope you like it !

A Birthday card

Hi evryone !

Let me share you a card made with my Cricut (my old and well loved Expression). Flowers are from the Mother's day Bouquet, letters from Plantin Schoolbook, shape of the card from Storybook. Papers by Recollections.

I was lucky to find the alphabet that matches almost perfectly the one on the tag. The only problem now is I made this card a little bit too big so it doesn't fit in any of the envelope I have. I will have to make an envelope as well...

I wish you a warm day. Think of me and my non-working-heater-in-the-middle-of-Scottish-winter...
See ya !

S.W.A.T. drill #24

Another challenge for me (I told you this new year gave me energy...) for the SWAT blog this time. The funny thing is I did start this layout this summer with the sketch proposed from Page Maps and wasn't able to finished it until today !

Again pictures from our cruise. I've got so many of them, I don't know if I will be able to finish this album one day ! On this trip, we have visited a turtle farm, and at the end the girls asked to taste coconut milk. We all did, but our daughters didn't like this milk... I have another layout waiting for you with me and my husband sharing the coconut, you will see it on the Feeling Sketchy blog in March.

American Crafts and Recollections papers, Webster's page purple lace, Costco's washi tape, Thickers alpha, Sandylion coconut sticker, and green buttons. Oh, and did find a converter to use my stitching machine !

Wish you a good day !

I love my Copics...

I'm just having so much fun with them. Here is my very last colored creation : a card with a digi I found on internet by Kurtiana. I really love manga girls, and this one will please my youngest (she's into Pokemon right now, and yes a girl can love Pokemon too).

Papers by American Crafts and Recollections. Ribbon by Webster's Page and Target. Copic markers. Orange distress ink by Tim holtz.
I will enter this card for the ABC Challenge DT call and the Crafty Ribbon DT call.

Hope you like it !

A layout for the fun ?

Of course ! I do always have fun when I create. But I also made this one to participate to the 3 Scrappy Boys challenge. I just follow their great sketch and end up with this layout :

Papers by American Crafts and Recollections, white acrylic paint, rubber stamp by Inkadinkado with purple distress ink by Tim holtz, cling stamp by Hero Arts, embossing folder by Tim Holtz, alphabet stickers by Martha Stewart, journaling tag by Elle's Studio, white ink by Memento.

Having both of my daugthers smiling on the same picture is a challenge. So it was a good fit. I love the result !

See ya !

SEI Design Inspiration Challenge

SEI's January challenge has an inspirational photo collage to help us create a project about gratitude :

I did take for myself the colors and the "Thanks" as an inspiration for a card :

I didn't use SEI products (sorry, too few in my stash...), but Bella Blvd papers, flower and alpha stickers.

Thank you Tyra from SEI blog for this inspiration. I promise I will use your products to create a bunch of projects if I win this one... ;-)

Double page layout about Jamaica

Hi everyone !

We're missing the sun a little bit here, so I will take a warm layout out of the scrapbook to enlighten my day. And I will make it a double. I really need light. The sun goes down at 3PM here, so we spend half of the day in the dark (my day are longer because I don't want to go to bed before 11PM).

So once again a layout about our Caribbean cruise (still not done with the album...) :

I used MME washi tapes as I would do with a ribbon to make a border. Papers by Making Memories and Recollections. Alpha chipboards by Scrapabilities. Jelly orange alpha by Cloud Nine.
The quote "Yeah man. No problem" is probably the most used phrase in Jamaica, so I had to integrate it in my layout.

Did you see I used 5 pictures ? Waoh ! Unsual. We had such a great time there, it has to take more space my album !

Time to go back to my current project. I start with the idea of shabby chic altered tin, and I will probably end with a shabby bright project, as always...

Have a good day !

Feelings...

When you see the title of some posts, do you have a song starting in your head reading one particular word. I do. Each time. I'm a living jukebox. But I'm the only one hearing the music. So re-read the title and you probably know what song I'm talking about. Better than the one I got in mind this morning when I woke up. Dare I to tell you ? "I got a dream" from Tangled. Yep. Two daughters.

So what is this about ? Feelings. Oh yeah ! I have mixed feelings about the layout I want to show you today. I kinda love it, and I did love cut out the blue pattern paper, but the whole thing look unusual for sure.

Recollections papers, flower ribbon and lace from Hobby Lobby, Thickers alpha.

Beside these mixed feelings about my layout, I got another feeling, non-mixed and very positive : JOY ! Why ? Because I've been choose to be part of the Felling (again) sketchy challenge blog !
You can see my little badge (so proud of it !) on the right side. That made me check my first line on my 2014 list : be on a design team !

You will see  my first contribution next month, so stay tune !

Colorful Creations DT call

Do you know Colorful Creations ? It's a blog with weekly challenge with themes like Sketch, Word, Inspired By and Plus Challenge. Did you know they had a Design Team call ? I totally go for it !

They asked to complete a layout based on this sketch :

And this is the page I've created for this call :

Papers by K&Company, American Crafts and Bella Blvd, cling stamps by recollections, Artist pen Big Brush by Faber-Castell in cobalt blue and cobalt green, white Gelato by Faber-Castell, stickers by The Paper Studio, mesh, lace and ribbon found at Hobby Lobby, white gel pen, alphabet stickers by American Crafts.

I keep my fingers crossed, the call will end soon, and announcement will be made on the 15th...

Have a great day !

I'm so late !

I was so busy to go through this Christmas cards thing, I have completely forgot to show you few of my published projects...
This layout was published in the October issue of Cricut magazine.
I used a Making Memories paper as a background, green and white cardstock, 6x6 papers by Making Memories in the same collection than the background, Copic markers and watercolor crayons by Faber Castell to color the flowers, grungeboard by Tim Holtz, distress ink by Tim Holtz, ivory acrylic paint, Making Memories alphabet rub-ons.. I used my Cricut Expression and the Art Nouveau cartridge to drawn (black Cricut marker) and cut the flowers.

This layout reflect so much the personality of my youngest : bright and soft, nature's lover, and living in her own world !

I'm so glad it's Monday ! School start again, and I will have a couple of hours to create ! I hope you all had a great time during these holidays, and you are full of energy for this new year (as I feel, at least for this first week...after that my routine will suck it out of me ;-)) !

See you soon on another post...

Day one

Before talking about this new year, I want to thank you about 2013. I did have fun posting my thoughts, showing you my projects and create this last giveaway for Christmas. But without you visiting my blog and making lovely comments, what will be the purpose of it ? With more than 10,000 pageviews, almost 500 comments and about 60 followers (between google+, bloglovin and Friends connect), you help me to build this blog. So, I thank you and I hope I will be thanking you next year too...

I have few crafty goals for 2014, like completing more scrapbooking albums, creating projects interesting enough to be published and/or to use in a workshop, being choose for a design team... What would be your crafty wishes ?

I send you my best and warmest wishes for this new year, and I hope that 2014 will give you love and health.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014 !
