Mixed media Art Journal pages : Fish for love

Hello everyone !

I'm back with a new project for the Art anthology blog : an art journal spread !

The background was created with Siesta Key Colorations spray and green distress ink, followed by brown distress ink over the Lattice stencil by Art Anthology. I added two types of bubbles, one with the Messy Bubbles stencil and the Mermaid Sorbet medium, the other with a Deep Red droplets stamp and green ink. Some more brown distress ink on the edges of the journal added the final touch to the background.

To create the heart, I painted a cardstock with different mediums and colors, using also stencils to add dimension.

Once I was happy with it, I cut hearts by hand and glued them on my pages. I added some journaling on white paper, used a black pen to outline the hearts, journaling, and drawn the fishing lines.

If you want to know more about this creative process, I made a video tutorial for you :

Thank you for stopping by today ! I hope you enjoy your summer so far. Mine is super hot and I can't wait to go back to a cooler weather... which I will not have in a while because I live in Texas ! Never mind, I will stay in my craft room and create until Fall... See you soon !

Ink resist layout in blue

Hello !

I'm still in France for my summer vacation, so my blog is running a little low, but I have a layout to share with you today, with a good summery vibe !

It's a picture of me and my daughter in one of my favorite place, in the Alps, having fun and being sassy with our sunglasses...
The base of the layout is a Color Magic paper by Heidi Swapp (discontinued but still loved) sprayed with Waimea Bay Colorations spray by Art Anthology. I stamped in several place with Take Note stamp set by BoBunny.

I used several materials as embellishments, some of them are recycled... First cheese cloth sprayed with the same color than the layout, tissue tape (Tim Holtz), crocheted white lace, glass beads, elements from old shoes (!) painted with Kona Velvet and Gold Metal Effect medium (Art Anthology), flowers and paper clay embellishments (Martha Stewart and Prima).

I re-used the same medium colors to add touches with a small brush on the embellishments.

Think about saving metal embellishments if you want to trash old shoes or clothes. You can even save laces or beads from clothes !

Thank you for stopping by today ! Remember you still have few days to participate in my giveaway for the Pay It Forward video hop ! You have until the end of the 13rd of July to watch and comment on my video (following my channel is optional but very appreciated !), and hop to the next video... Details in the description of my tutorial. You could win 3 sets of Tim Holtz stamps !

Have a wonderful day and see you soon !

I outlined the tag with a white gel pen before gluying the painted and cut stamps. These Shine mediums are really bright and peppy !
