A tag for the May More than words mini challenge

Hello !

The word for the mini challenge of More than words challenge this month is : "TIME".
I have decided to make a tag, using a Ken Oliver bookmark, Tattered Angels inks, stencils, paste and gel and die cuts :

"Time stays long enough for anyone who will use it" - Leonardo Da Vinci
This quote inspire me for this tag to use the clock die (Prima Marketing) and the sketch grid stencil (TCW).
I created the background with the Naturally Aged Paint System - Bare Metal by Tattered Angels. adding textures with  Maritime papers cut with Mixed Media Thinlit by Sizzix and Teal me no lies Texturez paste (Shimmerz Paints) over sketch grid stencil (TCW).
Then I add the white clock die cut (Prima Marketing) sprayed with Bronze glimmer mist. Journaling is written on white paper strips sprayed with Vintage pink glimmer mist, and glue with gel medium. I add some gold microbeads before the gel was dry.

Thank you for stopping by ! I hope you like what you saw...
See you soon !

A colorful card with DCWV

Hello !

A quick post about a card I made a while ago (but didn't show I don't know why...) with the Little Miss stack by DCWV. Unusually, I made this card blank. No sentiment at all. Open for any kind of occasion.

It's a 6"x6"card, with a 1/4" border, papers outlined with pink gel pen, few cut out designs, and two doilie dies by Sizzix.

As it's blank, I could use it for a baby girl, a birthday, friendship or else.

Thanks for stopping by, and see you soon for another project !

Stateside collection travel book with DCWV

Hi crafters from the world !

Today is all about my traveling into the States, apart from my life in Texas few years ago. I did travel a little bit, sometimes by plane, sometimes by car, even by RV once !
I made an album, not with all the pictures taken during these trips (too many to count), but with those I liked the most in the different places I visited. And it's not a complete album either because I will (or I hope I will) be traveling in the USA again in the future.

For this travel book, I use the 6"x 8" Stateside travel journal by DCWV, with other products from this collection, as postcards, sentiment stack, pin and stickers set, die cut tag stack, cork word stickers, and stamp stickers.

Love, love, love these cork stickers ! And the small pins look like the ones from google map, that's really cute !

Can you guess the towns on the map ? Let me help you...From left to right : Anaheim CA, Las Vegas NV, San Antonio TX, Galveston TX, New Orleans LA, New York NY, Toronto ON

The travel journal comes with premade pockets, where you can slip whatever you want. Above I put a postcard, and below some tags.

Here again the cork sticker... and you probably recognize this picture of me from some of my profiles(love this picture, my daughter took it in Vegas). I added washi tape from the journal kit on the picture on the right.

Grand Canyon, Joshua trees on the Highway 40 (near Lake Havasu), and balconies in New Orleans...

Some around the edges journaling with outlined cork stickers...

I cut the black and white designs from a sentiment sheet, it really pop from the black this way.

I need to complete this book, so I 've got several options to do so :
1- I live again in Houston and travel from here in the US
2- I become a famous designer and a company hire me in the US
3- You love my work so much that you invite me for a workshop in the US.

Which one it's gonna be ?

See you soon... (I will probably not have the answer next time)

Mixed Media altered canvas

Hello !

This month I decided to participate to the Berry71bleu moodboard challenge :

I went to the dark side to create this altered canvas... All the embellishments were covered with black gesso before adding small brushes of Antique Gold and Rose Gold High Impact paints.
I glued some teared book pages to the 5"x7" canvas before covering it with white gesso, then spray Gold and Festival glimmer mists.

The mesh came from a Christmas roll, cut, painted with black gesso and spray with the same mists than the background.
I add white gesso to lace and fabric before spray them with Crocheted doily mist.
The butterflies (Maya Road) and the wood word had the same treatment than the flowers.

Gold microbeads are the final touch to this canvas. I glued them with gel medium, and all the other embellishments with Fabri-Tac (Beacon Adhesives).

Thank you to take some time to review this post. I hope you like what you saw.

See ya !

Gorjuss Birthday card

Today my lovely daughter is 15 ! The least I could do was to create a card for her...
So I pulled out an old but cherished paper pad by K&Company, a beautiful Gorjuss stamp and my Copic markers to wish her an happy birthday...

I also made a killer vanilla cheesecake with a ginger cookies crust, and I will give you the recipe if I have enough comments asking for it on this post !

Have a great day !
