Home decor canvas

Hello !

I have an altered canvas to show you today. I created this one few weeks ago as a birthday gift for a friend.

I used a lot of products here :

- 12x12 canvas
- white air dry clay
- Wilton molds
- gesso (Liquitex)
- modeling paste (Liquitex
- paper flowers (Prima Marketing, I Am Roses)
- metal embellishments
- lace (Hobby Lobby)
- stencils (Crafter's Workshop)
- acrylic stamps (Prima Marketing)
- old book pages
- Black Sooth distress ink (Ranger)
- Chipboard alphas (Prima Marketing)

Take a closer look...

Can you spot the leaves and the flowers under the metal flowers ? I made them with the air dry clay and some Wilton molds (I know they are made for baking, so what ?)...

I applied gesso on all the embellishments and misted them before adhering them to the canvas. I applied more mists after the adhering process too.
Take a closer look to the stenciling and stamping work...

I hope you like it ! I loved the process and I'm ready to make more of these...

See you soon !

DCWV altered phone case

Hello !

Yes, my daughter had another broken phone case. And yes, that's a new goodie for me to play with... A small piece was missing on the top, I have just re-create it with paper. I choose the Marquee Premium stack by DCWV to cover the phone case :

Using Mod Podge, I glued the star paper over the case, and trimmed the excess once dried. I cut the honeycomb paper by letting peek-through holes to see the star paper, and added some matted words and arrow from the same stack. At the end, I applied a coat of Mod Podge all over the case.

Altering phone case is a very fun thing to do. I maybe will order blank case to play with more, because we don't have broken cases anymore...

I hope you like it !
See you soon...

Cardabilities September sketch card

Yesterday, I played a lot with my mists, I mean, a-lot--until-I-get-my-hands-stained played. And it was blue mists. So I still have blue hands today...

But why play so much with inks ? Because I wanted to make a Thank You card, and I found a sketch that suit me on the Cardabilities blog...

So I grabbed my DCWV papers (Old World, Luxury stack) and a wood grain card by DCWV too, and transformed everything with distress inks (Frayed Burlap, Salty Ocean) by Tim Holtz and my glimmer mists by Tattered Angels (Denim Blue, Sapphire). see for yourself :

You can also recognize dies by Sizzix (Thank You) and X-Cut (feathers), a doilie by Doddlebug. and some mesh ribbon from Michaels.

Thanks to you for looking !
Have a great day !

September Prima challenge's layout

Weather changes as soon as school has started here, and lower temperatures make me wish for warm colors and rich food... So right now, I'm cooking an apple pie and planning some stews for this week.

The warm colors and textures of the PPP challenge from the Prima Marketing blog was matching my mood, and I decided to combine it with the BAP challenge. Here are the sketch and the moodboard :

2015-Sept-prima-picks 2015-September-BAP-riikka

I used Ledger papers, flowers, wood ATC cards and stamp by Prima Marketing on this layout :

But I used few other things... half pearls by Recollections and Doddlebugs, pearl decorative garland (purple)...

my Cricut with Graphically Speaking cartridge for the title (angel), distress inks (for the stamp, the wood ATC, the papers, the flowers) in Vintage Photo, Aged Mahogany, Walnut Stain and Antique Linen by Ranger...

and let's not forget my beloved Tattered Leather glimmer mist by Tattered Angels, and stencils (Art is, Sketch grid) by Crafter's Workshop and some Gesso.

I hope this layout gave you some inspiration to hit your scrap-table !

My last card for the Feeling Sketchy blog

Hello everyone !

Today I'm a little sad to announce that my contribution to the Feeling Sketchy blog had come to an end. It was my first DT and will always have a special place in my heart for this challenge blog...

But let's make some room for scrapping, shall we ? We have a new sketch and it means a new card for you !

I kept the circle pattern and the movement created by the arrow for my design. I use the Jet Black and the Silver Lining stacks by DCWV for this card, as well as Scor-Tape to adhere all the square of papers (6 !). You know I cannot help but fussy cut something... so I cut the circle shape... The small red heart is a rubber sticker by KI Memories.

Our sponsor this month is Dr Digi. You'll have until the end of September to upload your project to the blog, so let's get creative 1

P.S. : DCWV stacks and Scor-Tape were provided by DCWV for my work as a DT member.

CCB Crew challenge : Create with fabric - A shabby photo book

Hello !

Canvas Corp Brands had a new challenge for the Crew : use fabric !
Ok. I have a sewing machine. But I barely used it for fabric (except on my daughter's request for her project...maybe I should ask HER to create something...). Let's not talk about sewing.
So I choose to use fabric as paper, and I came up with upgrading a photo book !

I had this photo book since 3 years or so, but never find a way to use it (you know these feeling, do you ?). Why don't cover it with fabric ? BAM ! I got my idea... and here is the result :

I used a burlap sheet (Canvas Corp Brands) to cover the book, with some damask paper, white lace and flowers to add some shabby touch. The title is a mistable flocked and resist title by Tattered Angels, mist with Wedding Pink (Tattered angels) and cut out.

I hope you like it, and don't forget to take a look at what the other DT members create...

Last day of summer camp - a DCWV layout

Summer vacations are really gone now. Let's remember those sunny days and make a layout !
Ok, mine are not from this year (08), but it does count, doesn't it ?

I use the Hello Darlin' stack by DCWV and Scor-Tape for this layout and the August sketch of Stuck?! Sketches blog :

So many pictures to scrap ! I got thousand of these and my shelves are already full with scrapbooks... It's a lifetime job to create albums with all of these pictures...

Are you up-to-date with your scrap goals ? I have sure some more work to do...

See you around...

P.S. : DCWV stack and Scor-Tape were provided by DCWV for my work as a DT member.

DCWV September sketch card

Hello !

Did you saw my layout for the DCWV challenge ? So you maybe spotted my card too on their blog ?

Once again, I had fun fussy cutting flowers, tea cups and frames, and I let my Sizzix Big Shot play too by cutting the sentiment... I used one of the stack sent by DCWV : the Happy Day stack.

Take a look at the card sketch :

Have fun playing with the sketches and see you soon...

DCWV September sketch layout

Hi crafter fellows !

Here comes my first layout of this month, along with the DCWV sketch challenge !

This September sketch from www.pagesmaps.com is very versatile and fun to use :

This sketch shout "stitching" to me the first time I saw it, and of course I had to put flowers and pink everywhere ! I had a lot of fun fussy cutting all these embellishments... (roses, words, bubble speech...).

Everything on this layout came from the Hello Darlin' stack (was on my last DCWV DT box), except for this tiny "I love you" tag on the right of the picture. I cut it from a border by Bella Blvd.

You will have until the 30th of September to send your layout (or your card, I will show you my sample tomorrow, stay tune). You could be featured in the DCWV blog and/or be picked for a random prize ....

See you tomorrow !

Feeling Sketchy sketch #128

Hello everyone !

School started yesterday in France and I cannot tell you how glad I am... I have so many projects waiting for me !
So for the first project of this new school year, I will show you the card I made for the Feeling Sketchy challenge :

Looks like a Valentine's card... Am I too early ? Nah !
I used a red paper from the Old World stack (DCWV), a denim fabric on paper (DCWV), lace and cord found at Hobby Lobby and Making Memories eyelets. And a tiny sticker from an old Spring specialty sticker stack (DCWV) for the sentiment.

Try to make something with this sketch :

and upload it to enter the drawing for the prize from our sponsor Deedee's Digis :

See you soon for another project !
