Today I have a layout to show you, made for the Scrapping Clearly sketch challenge. Here is the sketch :

And here is my layout :

I use a very old paper kit from Heidi Swapp, along with Silver Sugar and Black Magic glimmer mists even some High Impact White Metallic paint by Tattered Angels, plus resist letters and small banner by Heidi Swapp (those two were in my DT kit).

I don't know if you can see it, but I used a Prima Marketing stencil that match the black paper...

DCWV layout sketch challenge

How about something very girly for this challenge ? Pink, pastel colors, flowers here they are :

Papers from the Little Miss stack (even for the title I cut with my cutting machine), flowers by I Am Roses, lace from Hobby Hobby, and some vintage photo distress ink (Ranger).

How cute are they ? I really really love this picture, it's not the first time I scrap it...

You have until the end of July if you want to play with this DCWV sketch :

DCWV card sketch challenge

I know it's a little too late for a 4th of July card, but I made one for the DCWV sketch challenge and it's on the blog today...soooo, here it is :

It's my Texan 4th of July card ! Can you see the lonely star ? Now compare it to the sketch :

july card v1

I switched a little bit things (what a surprise...) : two tags instead of one ; no pocket but I kept the circle pattern and made a rosette out of it ; I kept the twine but not the banners.

Of course I used DCWV papers (Old world stack), the Sizzix/ Tim Holtz rosette die, blue twine (Maya Road) and some white lace found at Hobby Lobby.

Give this challenge a try, youll have until the end of July to send your project.
See you Monday to take a look at my layout for this challenge...

Have a great week end !

C'est Magnifique Kit July challenge layout

No kids today, so time to play for me... I used the July sketch from the C'est Magnifique Kit blog to create this layout :

The picture was taken inside the Grand Baazar in Istanbul, it's the front of a spice shop.

I started by building the background : I mixed gloss gel medium with Tattered Leather glimmer mist, and sprayed it over a Prima Marketing stencil. I sprayed  Olive Vine and Tattered Leather glimmer mists randomly over the paper, as well as white Dylusions spray. Then I applied Vintage Photo distress ink (Ranger) on the edges and distressed them with scissors.

You can see a lot of different papers in the center, I sprayed them with the previous mists, added sometimes stamps, and distressed the edges also.
The metal embellishments were covered with gesso, then sprayed with Sun Sisters, Tattered Leather, Olive Vine and Baby Santa mists.

And another page for my never ending Istanbul album...

Cheers !

An altered box with matching tea bags

Summertime !

School finally ended in France ! I did a little something for my youngest daughter's teacher that I gave her on Friday. It's an altered tin box filled with homemade tea bags :

The tin was olive green, so I decided to start with a matching paper I found deep in my stash (very old Colorbok kit) to cover the box. I used a Sizzix die for the brown design, lace from Hobby Lobby (yes, I still have some even if moved 2 years ago...) and flowers (I Am Roses, Petaloo, Prima Marketing) sprayed with Tattered Leather and Olive vine glimmer mists (Tattered Angels).
I filled myself each tea bag with Turkish Apple Tea and made the tag with a punch (Marvy Uchida).
I stamped each tag with Martha Stewart alpha stamp.

I hope you had a great 4th of July week end. see you soon for more scrap projects !

Mix Media Canvas

Hello Everyone !

It's my last day of freedom (end of school in France today...), and I wanted to share a great news with you before being kept away from my scraproom forever (OK, few weeks, but it will be like forever)...

I'm published in the July issue of Scrap n'Art magazine ! I made a mix media canvas, and I'm sorry I cannot share the picture of the whole project now but here is a sneak peek :

In this picture, you can see that I used broken jewelry cover with gesso and sprayed with Sun Sisters and Party Pink Glimmer mists (Tattered Angels). You maybe recognize also an IndigoBlu stamp...
I will be able to show you this project in two months, but if you are a subscriber of this magazine, you can see my canvas here (3rd project from the top, Live, Laugh, Love).

See you soon for my next project Monday : an altered tin box I made as a teacher's gift....

I use the Melon Twist stack by DCWV and a digistamp from our sponsor Bugaboo, along with K.I. Memories stickers.
Here is the sketch :

If you use the sketch and upload your project to the Feeling sketchy blog, you can win  :
