C'est magnifique challenge

A challenge with a French name ? I had to do it. And I need a scrap challenge to relax me from my vacation with kids...
So I grabbed my scrap travel bag and tried to find something to fit this challenge from the "C'est Magnifique" kit club. I didn't have any of their products, not even a hot balloon like in their sketch, but, whatever, I had my imagination (and still have today by the way). And TADA, here is the result :

We R Memory keepers papers, MME acrylic stamp for the border, EK Success punch for the mat, Petaloo, Recollections and Making Memories flowers, Recollections ribbon, I am Roses leaves, and like always my Tim Holtz distress ink.

Amazing what you can do with a minimum of products. I like this layout very much. Thanks for the sketch, C'est magnifique...

No matter what happens...

Today, I will show you a card made with washi tapes and colored stamp. I made this card thinking of my teen and her friends. Sometimes, they fight for no good reason, but they always make peace at the end. "No matter what happens, we R BFF" was the perfect fit for this card.

I use MME washi on a blank note card, stamped Flonz manga girls and colored them with Copic markers, Sticko alpha and a Studio G "BFF" stamp with pink ink. I found the chipboard frame at Michael's and the text came from K&company rub-ons.

I love rub-ons. Why are they disappearing from the scrapbooking market ?

Family ride for a scrappy challenge

In my luggages, I had enough space to put a scrapbag with my essentials : my cutter, a mat, a ruler, two decorative scissors, all my Copic markers, few ink pads, four rubber stamps, two sheets of acrylic stamps, 5 ribbons, a paper pad, some assorted stickers, a white gel pen, flowers and leaves, and good adhesives.

Believe it or not, that was enough to create a page for a challenge : The Grand Diva's creative corner challenge of June.

And by chance, I think it fit perfectly with the Rochelle Spears June challenge too ! It will allow me to enter for a bonus prize...

Feels good to scrap in France !

Hi Oklahoma !

Do you remember the BoBunny email about making cards for Oklahoma ? They received 486 cards ! they post the picture of all the cards, and I have seen mine ! Look for a green and purple one in the middle :

I'm glad they received this amount of cards, and I hope that's gonna lift some spirits...

I'm writing now from France where I will be during the whole summer. I have found my home waiting for me to be dusted, so not much time to scrapbook for the moment. But I promise you to post pictures of this beautiful part of France, near Avignon.

I wish you a great sunny day...

Welcome wreath

My second publication with Northridge Publishing is a well loved welcome wreath, made out of pink and green  Making Memories papers and grapevine wreath. I cut all the flowers and leaves with my Cricut Expression and the cartridge Flower shoppe. I add some white buttons as center for the flowers, and paper covered wood letters for the welcome.

I kept this wreath so long on my door before sending it for publication, it was faded. So, when they said they want it for publication, I have to make the EXACT same one all over again... Took forever but I'm so proud to see it in the Cricut Idea Book : Simple & Stylish !

My first US paper publication !

Last November, I was Lucky enough to see my mini album picked for publication by Northridge Publishing. I was being to see it on paper only in April, and I am now allowed to show you what was picked...

It's a laminated mini that I made out of K&Company paper, my Cricut Expression with the Ornemental Iron cartridge and my laminator. Sorry for the bad pictures of it, I didn't have it back yet to take new better ones... Or you can just take a look at the Cricut Mini Albums Idea Book 2013 !

"Dans mon jardin secret" means " in my secret garden"

"the pretty flowers..." .... "are well watered"

"with a lot of love" ..... "we have made beautiful plants out of them"
In French, the idea is that my little flowers have growned up and are big beautiful girls now.

I added very few embellishments to this album because the gates were so beautiful by themselves... Die-cuts by K&Company, some Prima Marketing flowers, and ribbons. The rest are handcut images from the papers.

I can't wait to receive my album back. It usually stand on my desk, and I was not able to look at it for more than 6 months now...

I hope you like it.
