Clean up your room !

No, I was not taking to my kids, but to myself ! My scraproom was so mess up, I had to jump over stuffs on the floor to gain access to my desk... Enough was enough and I decided to clean up this morning, before leaving for a short Easter vacation in NYC.
I'm so happy to have my room back to normal, I had to share it with you !

Call it Spring cleaning if you want, the sure thing is it's not gonna last until Summer. It will be a mess again after our Spring break...

I'm leaving very early tomorrow, I wish you a happy Easter in advance.

Thank you card

You remember last week end I was in Indian Wells for a tennis tournament ? It was more than great. So great, I let a part of me there. In fact, I let my medications, and it's a part of me because without my thyroid medications, I'm not myself. So when I found out on Monday, I called the hotel and they said they gonna send them to me. And they did. I received them Thursday ! I'm so thankful they did, I'm gonna send them back a card.

I use a blank white card, brown dot Making Memories paper embossed with a Tim Holtz Alterations folder and inked, few Prima flowers with pearls and bling, Recollections journaling with DCVW quote sticker, and a ribbon found at Costco. I also ink the front edges of the card with distress pink ink by Tim Holtz.

Thanks again to La Quinta Resort for such a good customer service.

Friendship card

I have play these days with some flocking powder by Martha Stewart, and I have used it on this card :

I stamped few flowers with a clear stamp set by Autumn Leaves and filled the petals with glue to adhere the flocking. I cut the flowers on the right side, then stamp the same pattern inside the card. few crystals, a sentiment from an "one dollar stamp" from Michaels, et voila !

I don't know if you can see the flocking on this picture, but I like the effect. I like it so much I'm not sure I'm gonna send this card... Will you ?

Indian Wells 2013

If you are a tennis addict, you know what the title is about. I'm not, but my hubby is. So my Christmas gift to him was a day ticket to see the semi-finals there. Perfect idea in fact, because it means I will go with him for a week end without kids !

But before taking about the tournament, I have to tell you I'm in love with the hotel. Hubby use his bonus point from previous travel to reserve a room in La Quinta Resort & Club and it was perfect ! Take a look :

our bungalow...

The air smelled of citrus, it's quiet and the view is wonderful. Now about the tennis part. We had good tickets, so I was able to take good pictures too...

Djokovic

Nadal

Del Potro

the russian winners of the double (Vesnina/Makarova)

the winning Bryan brothers

I have a tons of pictures from the games, now I just have to put them in a mini...
The week end is over, I have to get back to my shores. But it means also getting back in my scraproom ! See you tomorrow for a card.

Travel anyone ?

I got a lot of travels in my mind lately, so it's reflected in my work. I bought a pack of Colorbok card from a dollar store few days ago, and as I have an hour ahead of me yesterday night, I made this card of it.

I used a Inkadinkado rubber stamp for the background, Recollections tags, blue glitter, Making Memories alpha stickers, some leftover Christmas ribbon, and the pinkish card.

Wanna travel ?

Envelopes book by Melissa Frances

I did have finally some times to finish the album from the Melissa Frances Scrapbook Expo class ! It was a two hours workshop, but we didn't have enough time to finish the book.
Here is the workshop's description from the Scrapbook Expo, Grapevine Tx website :

  • --------------------------------------------------

Here is what's look like once done :

We have only made 3 pages in class, so I had to finish by myself the rest. I almost follow the instructions, it's just a little bit different from the original.

I've distress all the envelopes, tags, stickers...with the Tea Dye distress ink by Tim holtz.

I din't follow exactly the instructions sheet for these two pages.

I still have plenty of stickers and cardstock die-cuts left to add more embellishments to this book. I even have 3 full paper sheets untouched !

I don't plan to put pictures on this one soon, but if I will it will be some pictures of one of our trip in France, maybe in a castel or old village, and I will use sepia colors.

I have enjoy making this album, and I plan to make one of my own with K&Company envelopes I bought few months ago at Marshalls.

    I hope you like it...
